Why do I have an overwhelming suspicion a majority of the time your fog lights are off? Is it because common sense tells me if you spent the money for angel eyes you are going to use them? Or is it because of the following comment from page one where you state you would like to have red fog lights?I mean if you are itching to get red fog lights I have a hard time believing you would turn on your fog lights to hide the red halos.

If you keep your car clean, you will never have to worry about things rolling behind the pedals. Additional interior light reduces night visibility and if something does happen to roll behind your pedals, lights are not going to help you. Why? Anything that can impede pedal function is going to be large enough that you do not need a light to find, and if some how it is small enough to warrant a light, you will not have enough time to fix the problem. If something is jammed behind the pedals, I do not know many people who try to find out what it is, I think the common reaction is to remove it as fast as possible, keeping their eyes on the road, and discover what it is after they have regained control of the car.

Lastly, regardless of the color of the fog lights and halos, are they DOT approved? If they are not, they are illegal for use on public roads.


A couple of problems,
1. I am unaware of any OEM fog lights with exposed wires and without a weather-proof quick connecter. I highly doubt this is JDM part.
2. Fog lights are not designed to light up dark roads. That is the reason why cars have high beams.
3. Those fog lights do not have a vertical cut off, they are not suitable for use on public roads, and again, reinforces point #1.

 

Remove the fog light (2 10mm bolts)
Remove the lens (2 philips screws)
The bulb is located behind the silver reflector

Nah i keep them on most of the time. i turn them off in like town cause they are angled a little high cause the healdights arent bright enough. since they are projecters they are mad bright.

 

I see a lot of ricer discussion going on lol. I dont think heresmymind's max is rice. Although green or red wouldn't quite be my choice for fogs I think they probably look good on his car as it's black and pretty much any color goes with black. If he wants to have those colors fine, if he has verified with his people down at the station that his setup is completely legal at least in his state and has NOT gotten stopped since he's had them other than that time they complimented him, then good! Why are we arguing? lol if anything mr. JDM here is more rice. Now I'm not saying his (jdm dude) car is rice but his attitude is and the way he starts calling others rice. I still dont see why he talks about a GXE when he pretty much has the same damn engine...make no sense..a 5spd oh boo hoo that can be swapped in off an SE. Like someone said Maximas are comfortable reliable family cars not racing cars. I love my car whether I have 160hp or 190hp at least it takes care of Accord and Camrys whether 4 or 6 cylinders stock.

You could quite easily settle this controversy if you just posted the invoice for the lights.

 

i paid cash for them from my friend who took a trip to japan. Ive bought a good bit of random stuff from him in the past when he comes back.
he usually takes an empy suitcase and just loads it up with stuff.

 

Forgive my ignorance, but I fail to see how purchasing a set of fog lights in Japan makes them special? What is the difference between yours and the set that I can buy at Autozone?

When I was stationed in Okinawa, I had an '88 Prelude. When I left, I was required to turn in both plates under penalty of law. How is it that you acquired that single license plate?

Finally, I was under the impression that the whole "JDM" craze was limited to Hondas. (read rice) In reality, I suspect that it was really created by some savy enterpeneurs and foisted on the unwitting pubic as the "thing" to have. Why is that you feel that JDM parts makes your car special?

 

As I stated on like the first page of all this bickering - just because they were bought in Japan, doesn't mean they are anything special. More than likely they were made in China just like all the other junk in pep boys, autozone, wal-mart, etc. etc.
If you like them, fine - enjoy. If you came here to get a pat on the back or brag just because they were bought in Japan - sorry man, you'll get no love.

i wasent bragin bout that part, i was really askin if people like them over the stock fogs.
then everyone turned it into an argument and trying to say i got them from pepboys or harbor freight, i went to both, and i saw the fogs, tehy are talkin about, and are very similar, but the lense color is totally off, and they are clear with a yellow tint film inside. the actuall glass on my fogs is 100% yellow, im sure there are many immitations of the fogs i have. I have seen a good bit like it.

FYI headlights are citylights...when the main headlight lights are on you do not see the color.
