i have a 2000 maxima se

i have white gauges, what do you think will look best?

stock gauges and chrome rimgs

stock gauges and chrome bezel

or stock gauges and chrome bezel and chrome rings?

 

i have always liked and use the stock gauges with the chrome rings.

 

here's a pic of mine. I love them, amazing what they do for the dash. I thought about the bezel too, but thought it might be too much.

I really want the rings but paying $39 for em is a bit too much... The chrome bezel is <$20 shipped... but i havent gotten that either cuz its too much and will probly give horrible glare.

Need another group deal on the rings!!!

 

I bought mine from Paradox for 28 shipped, but that was a sale price. You might wait for a sale, I prolly wouldn't give $39 for them.

 

I custom made my rings with mirror type acrylic. Since I installed the dash kit, I added them over the bezel (Oxford Burlwood). I had the kit on for 3 years, and I decided when the weather gets nicer, I'm going to remove all pieces, including the bezel and leave the rings. I just got tired of the kit.

is there a how to to remove the dash? Sorry i wanna put in the rings and i wanna try and see if i can switch the LEDS behind the dash

 

You can start from here. These are some general instructions...http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design017. As far as the LED's, which ones were you referring to...the ones in the guage cluster? If so, I have replaced mine with blue ones. Check out the homepage.

polo where did you buy your bezel and chrome rings. is your bezel chrome or brushed alum.?

 

I like the Chrome Rings aswell. I ordered indiglo guages from ebay. ill see how chrome gauges look on those

 

me and harry (paradox) worked together to release the chrome rings for the 5.5 gens actually, so those pictures on his page are of my gauge cluster.
oddly enough, i dont' even remember where i got that from. i believe i got it from ebay. it's brushed aluminum.

I like the look of the black background--shows off the rings better. I think the bezel is to ricy--IMO

The chrome ring without the chrome bezel looks best, I have mine with the rings, they look cleaner, More chrome doesn't always look good or clean.

well i think brushed aluminum and chrome rings look good. chrome on chrome wont look good

 

I have the brushed aluminum bezel from eBay, and it is not to flashy, but it is very crappy, I am actually taking it out in the next few days.
The edges were all burled and rough when I got it, so I had to use my dremel to smooth them out. Now the right side of the bezel is separating from the dash for the second time.

yeah i had that ebay bezel too and it sucked and didnt fit the rings at all. my solution was to PAINT the black plastic stock bezel, and then put the rings on. LOOKS FANTASTIC. its really easy too. and you can pick a color too, i went with one that matches teh grey/silver of the head unit/clock surround. id post a picture but its never worked for me so PM me with an e-mail address if you want to see how it turned out.

 

It looks with the bezel though it covers up your gear lights on the dash.

 

get a bezel too... i have an aluminum bezel and rings. Looks effin sweet. If you jsut get rings, nobody will know that you put the time and money into dressing it up yourself. If you get a bezel too, people will notice it as something you did yourself. I got both, and wouldn't have it any other way.
