wassup all... i am planning on ordering a catback by next week, but im not sure which one to go for. Stillen or HKS. Greddy doesnt make one yet right? so what are the differences b/w stillen and hks. Which one is louder? Are there any other catbacks? Im not too much in Apex, because it is too quiet. Im still a newbie, so i have lots of questions. aiite, im outtie.

You can only purchase the muffler because there is no aftermarket b pipe available.

Does the Greddy catback system come with a resonator or do they leave it out? We know that pretty much all the mufflers are loud but cant you customize your b-pipe with r without a resonator?

Oh and is it better to get 2.5" piping or 3.0 inch?

Yup, it's official guys, Greddy is coming out by the first week of July, with a full catback, which includes b-pipe and muffler and tip.. for $650. Here's the catch though.. the pipe itself is made out of aluminized steel (which sucks for people that get snow, cuz that sh*t will rust within time ) and one style muffler (Evol style, which is made out of SS, but why not do the whole thing in SS???) with SS tips. I'm not sure if it'll be worth it.. I wish one of you guys out from the west would hook a brother up with a custom 2.5 SS pipe..

It's probably less expensive to purchase a Stillen or HKS muffler section and have a good muffler shop bend the B pipe for you rather than buy the full GReddy catback. But, the nice thing about the GReddy system is that when it arrives it's plug N play - no downtime to wait for a shop to do the piping.

If you're interested in the HKS, I've got one in stock.

From my understanding assuming a 2k+ Max with intake and y-pipe on already there won't be much gains in performance replacing just the stock cat back muffler. Assuming no b-pipe in either situation. Obviously it will be louder. What do the dyno charts show in just a basic swap from stock to hks or stillen..no new b-pipe involved? Seeing those charts would be interesting?

Right after I saw this post, I got excited and called GReddy to confirm whether or not they actually have our catback system done...the guy informed me that it would not be released for another 4 or 5 months!!! Call them yourselves guys to check but this is what I was told today 06/13/01...so I dont know what all the hype is about the GReddy catback system... It would be nice to know it was available though...where did you guys get your info from? I was leaning towards having mine custom done in stainless steel after I finish researching the catback stuff...it'll probably be cheaper too! Add about another hundred bucks or so just for the brand name guys!!! Holla.........

I prefer the HKS muffler because it has twin tips. Because the body has a rectangular cutout I think it would look funny with a single round tip ( too much space on either side)

willse had the hks and he said it sounded like a fartpipe

i keep talking to brian catts about the shop measuring my exhaust so they can release it to everyone else but he keeps telling me they are busy (i'm trying for everyone)...mine is full 304 stainless b-pipe, midpipe w/ 24" resonator, custom packed straight through muffler and tip...they are also getting their new fstb's and rstb's in and they need to fit them on my car to make sure they fit but whenever they are avaliable, i am busy...i will try to keep buggin him about a day when i can get it measured
