I just talked to a guy I know at a Nissan Dealership. He said that I need the ECU from the I30 too because of some sensors or some **** that doesn't signal right....can anyone confirm this or tell me that its not right?

Thanks...

I don't believe he is correct.

When you speak to "a guy I know" try to get more specific information than "some sensors or some ****". If the guy can identify the sensors by name and explain how the I30 is different from the Maxima, that lends credibility to his information. If he is vague and relies on arm-waving instead of detailed technical information, then you should seek a better source.

I ASSUME you're talking about doing the VLSD 5-speed tranny swap from an I30 to your Max. It's been done before. No, the "guy you know" doesn't know what he's talking about.

Do the switch with confidence.....

Thanks guys....he's the service manager at this place. I know him because his cousin was on my HS football team. I'll do the switch, hopefully, this summer.

Do you guys know where I can get it cheap? I checked a junkyard and they said 1550 + 75 shipping.
