1st time spraying! 75 wet 1/4 results

14.663 @ 99.82 with 2.488 '60 spraying 2nd 3rd and a hair of 4rth..
Other mods are ws Y, hi flo cat, cat-back, k&n Intake, fidenza flywheel, UR Udp.
For some reason I am thinking I should of ran faster? Sucks I was only able to get 1 run in. Would pulling a 2.2 '60 have helped much? Was 1st run since last year I was super nervous.. Also my first time running the spray. Any advice for next time? Like what rpm to shift at? And should I try spraying 1st?

Your trap seems kind of in spec, but I think your E/T should of been lower.

I ran .4 faster by mounting a floor switch and adding an intake.

The floor switch was in conjunction with a WOT switch. WOT switch alone will make you spin your tires because you want to go WOT to go faster. The floor switch allows you to start spraying nitrous as soon as you feel you have traction.

1. Put floor switch
2. Start spraying in 1st at 3000rpm. If at 3000 no traction then go to 4000rpm. No traction at 4000rpm, you get the picture.

I have a 4 cylender nissan and with the WOT switch alone I couldn't stop spinning until 3rd. By installing a floor switch I was able to spray in 1st at 2500rpm. If I had slicks I would of sprayed from a dead stop.

I got the idea of a floor switch from Jime.

Agreed. Try to practice your launches to get a 2.2x down consistantly. That'll drop you .4-.5 I believe right there.

that trap speed looks to be about 5mph low for a 5 speed with bolt ons and a 75 wet shot.

I think its more like 3 mph low. I ran 97.5 mph with 75 shot spraying 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I had intake, ypipe and stock clutch that couldnt handle 75 in first gear.

IMO 97mph running I/Y/E and a 75 wet shot is not good at all. You should gain 5mph+ with a 75 shot and a 5 speed. With those bolt ons you should run a lot better than 92mph NA unless the knock sensor is dead or something else is going wrong.

I didn't have a catback. Plus stock clutch that could barely hold 75 shot. I don't think its too bad given on a hot day. BTW: my cat was almost clogged.

well with a clutch that can hold and everything else in working order you should trap 102-103 fairly easily with a 75 wet setup.

I traped at 104.79 with a 75shot and only ran a 13.8. I was spraying end of 2nd, all of 3rd and into 4th. That was the first and only run I got in last year before the track closed. Mods were, intake, y-pipe (stock catback ) and 00 VI.

I don't have a bottle warmer or a n20 pressure guage. Should I look into getting the bottle warmer? I am going to get a n20 guage next time I fill up my bottle.
I deffinatly need practice in launching the car. Haven't launched it hard since last year.

Definitly need the warmer, it is very important in getting the bottle to the proper pressure, otherwise its not hitting like its suppose to.

Yup. When Dongfun first went to the track with his n2o he didnt warm his bottle on the first run and ran a 14.8. When he warmed it for a while he got a 13.8 by the end of the night. So it makes a big difference.

my bottle heater wasn't needed during the day because it got so hot in the trunk that my bottle pressure was 1400psi.

During night and evening it's needed
