my engines got a little jump to it like its misfiring.... Ive unplugged every coil pack one at a time to see which one didnt affect the idle. None of them did, i just changed the plugs. Its still a bit jumpy. The idle seems to be a little bit jumpy. And i always have this Hissing noise coming from the IACV vacuum line that is quite annoying. Its not leaking but you can hear the air coming from it. If anyone has any suggestions id appreciate it

Check to see if your TPS is adjusted 100%, and also I got the same annoying hiss from the intake area.

that hissing sounds like it can get very annoying. Do you guys need to run that line to the iACV?

Got anything to control that VI yet?

Congrats on the swap. I see you have the grounds on the valve cover, do you have any problems with the engine shutting off? For me, it was a bad ground so it to a different ground.

no the grounds on the valve cover are fine, however you needed to sand down the area where the bolt would make contact in order to provide a sufficient ground.

I made sure that I did that and it seemed that the valve cover gasket and each of the bolts for the valve cover had a gasket so there was not really that great of contact with the head. After the car would warm up, the ground got worse and it would eventually throw the sensor off and cause it to stall.

Is this swap a straight swap? I know it bolts up of course, but wiring, ecu, etc?

Yea it's a bad ground location since the valve cover gasket is rubber and insulates it from the head.

You'll need to wire up the injectors.

Everything matches execpt for a few odds and ends. A couple of the sensors need to be swapped over from your DE to your DEK. You can't use the DEK EGR valve since its electronically controlled and the 4th gen unit is vaccum controlled, and youll need to wire up 6 new injector clips to accomidate the top feed 5th gen injectors. Other than that its a pretty good swap out. I have my motor with 8500 waitint to be tossed in
