knock sensor location

anybody can help me and point out where is the knock sensor located on 2000 i30? Pics would be great.

Probably still under the lower IM plenum... just like the A32.

I know where knock sensor is located on an A32


www.motorvate.ca. I’ve looked around but couldn’t find it. I even looked fro grounding wires, but couldn’t find those ether.

I see you have a VQ30 in your signature. I found something similar to the grounding wires on the left side of my engine and a small sensor below it. Is that it?

Dig deeper. Its waaayyy under the lower IM. That sensor in my sig is the cam shaft position sensor.

thanks, i'm going to be changing my maf later next week and cleaning tb so i'll will be taking off the air intake ect. Hopefully i'll find it.

Removing the intake will help big time.
