What's wrong with Nissan marketing???
I've had my Maxima one year now and have never received ANYTHING from Nissan in the way of marketing follow-up. Compare this to VW and Subaru, (both of which I've owned), and they still twice a year mail me quite interesting glossy magazines. The VW zine is about 30 pages with articles by owners; features on celebrity plus real folk VW owners; human interest stories; racing news; sponsorship events; VW meets across North America; plus a huge selection of after market stuff including VW: T shirts, remote control cars; after market alloys; Eibach spring and lowering kits for VW's; after market exhaust systems; custom stereo's; sport racks; duffle bags; car covers; pens with logo's..; ball caps; umbrellas;dash kits;spoilers;watches; knives seriously, the list of stuff goes on and on and on.
What gives with Nissan?? no interest in promotion?
Maybe they figure Nissan owners dont have any ownership pride. Maybe they need to hire some new marketing types. I'm not saying I would buy any or most of this stuff, but at least it's available for those who chose to flaunt it. For sure some of the items Maxima owners consider after market mods should be way more readily accessible from Nissan itself.
