00vi and starting your car up

i bought a 98 max with the 00vi installed. I'm still learning about the 00vi, but when I start up my car, it makes a harsh noise. like it doesn't want to crank, is that normal. Now this only happens when the engine is cold. Is this anything to worry about?

I have no such noise... and I'm a 98. I'd hazard a guess it's not even VI related. What does it sound like... where is it coming from etc? Starter, timing chain slap perhaps?

maybe first you should ask who did the swap first.

relace the starter on the max. it still on the original one.
and yeah the midpipe is from a 6th gen

Maybe I dont really care who owned it? Most pre-owned already modified cars are ragged that is why they are for sale. I would assume its your masterpiece :lawl:
