Will other parts get more wear and tear if you were to drop your car with coilovers or springs/shocks? Will your cv joints be affected or any other part of the car with early wear and tear?

 

Your CV joints will cry their eyeballs out.

 

if ur lowering it more than 2 inches w/o camber kit. yes

 

off roading will tear up the undersides.

what about a drop of like 1.7 F 1.5 R (progress springs) is that low enough to hurt stuff??

 

what can be done when lowering your car to help prevent some of these issues ? can anything be replaced or moded to help?

 

if u lower too much ur CVs will start to go...more stress on ball joints and tie rods...and too low will make ur car handle like *****....IMO Progress in not too low and will not effect parts signicantly...they might have shortened life a little bit.......best thing to do is inspect all front end parts and replace the ones that need it...IE ball joints tie rods and axles

 

Also, let some air out of your tires for a good .5 inch drop all around.

 

Any type/amount/inches you lower a car will put suspension parts under pressure..( reduce the life span)...

Obviously, if it's done right, your cv joints, ball joints, axles, etc.. will wear out but at a slower pace then if you are running negative camber...

cv joints do wear out real quick. but with a mild drop not mcuh more stree is applied, where it will messthings up quick. i was on s-techs for a year and sprint for another year, and no problem. the problems came with a extream drop on coilovers
