Opinions on Yokohama AVS Intermediate
i'm on my second set.
overall: GREAT traction on dry roads.
after 8k miles (or a few track events with like 5k normal) traction is limited on even dry.
and on wet it sucks nuts.
but. u can't beat the price. esp with discount tire company sales the 235/45/17 Z for like $100 sometimes

noise is not an issue when you've got crappy roads like here in Los angeles. u wont hear anything except your suspension compessing all the time and the jiggles from the cabin.
only once have i driven on a neatly paved road (irvine) with the windows down, and its just beautiful..
no whir whir whir noise .. etc.

Yep, I agree with Cheston. The AVS are damn good, but they wear out quickly. They're very sticky. I don't have them on my Max (currently running Yokohame Avid V4s), but I had them on my CRX and Z28. The F-Body guys swear by them. They say they hook up nearly as good as drag radials. I may put them on my stock 15s.
