VQ35 RevUp cams in non-Rev heads w/o machining

I've been talking with a member ALong over on my350Z.com about what modifications he had done to make this work. He initially said that you must machine a bit off the exhaust cam end, which made sense to me since there wouldn't be the thick exhaust VTC sprocket. However, he just reported no machining was needed and everything bolted in. All that was needed was to source some longer "exhaust cam bolts" he located at some fastener store.

Just a reminder, but these cams have 10.5mm lift and 248-degrees duration on both intake/exhaust. The only question is how they perform in a NA application without VTC control, since they have -4degrees overlap. They sound perfect for FI applications though.

I believe DAVEB said all 4-cams were less then $500, but don't hold me to it.

I'm not suprized.

I wonder how long it's going to take for those people to realize they can use aftermarket cams in their revup engines with minor dremel work.

That price doesn't sound correct though.

They've gone up a little- I could do $135 a cam now, but Nissan has been changing (raising) prices on the 1st of each month lately.

Will this work only for 3.5 swappers or can someone make this work for a DE or DEK?
What is involved in the dremeling?

The Ebay (JWT knockoff) cams.

And the classifieds on my350z.com. It seems that every week someone else has a set of Nismo cams to sell because they were told they can't be installed in their '06 Z.
