Fitting a 300ZX steering wheel?

I bought a steering wheel from eBay a while back that was from a 1990 300ZX. I wanted it because it doesn't have an airbag, like my Max, and it maintains the cruise control buttons, which I would like to keep functional. The only problem when I hooked it up seems to be that the ring connectors on the back do not match up with the ring connectors on my stearing column. Therefore I was not able to hook up my horn or cruise control buttons. Has anyone done this and found a solution? I would like to figure it out. Thanks!

Haven't done that particular swap or had to rig up anything to make wheels work before, but I remember some 240 guys would extend the leads/rewire them and sometimes would just wire it directly and wrap extra wire around the column so they could turn the wheel without it binding

good luck!
