To All My Maxima 2001 Se Owners Out There!!!

Im asking 2 types of questions here. My first question is I bought my max about 2 months ago. Since its hot, I tried turning on the AC......denied! It does not work. I tried playing with the plug-ins in the fuse box....Still not working. My question is what do you think it is? Is a recharge needed? How much does that run? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My 2nd question is i was looking at my car when I notice about 3 or 4 dings. They are not big dents.....just semi big dings. Does anybody know what the cost is to take them out? Am i looking at G'z? or hundreds? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

1. describe what's happening (or not happening with the A/C) - does the fan turn on and just blow warm air? Does the fan not turn on at all? Is is a manual or auto climate control?

2. Get used to dings, scratches, and paint chips. Maxima paint = crap.

sounds like you are low/out of refrigerant and need a recharge. Though it seems odd ot have happened so soon...My 00 with 100K miles sitll blows ice cold. Definitely check for leaks in the AC system.

this is the auto climate control:

How do i check for leaks with out taking it to the dealer? Im trying to avoid the dealer to tell you the truth. They charge $120 an hour. To much for my pockets. Yes I have a manual.

looking for leaks is not an easy task if don't know what you are doing. Take it to a free check up, if you can find one, then go from there.....

Find a cheaper dealership or go to a reliable mechanic shop in your area.
