Need help replacing exhaust manifold stud

How hard is it to replace a stud that comes out of the bottom of the exhaust manifold? The one that bolts to the top of the Y-pipe. I have been driving for 6 months with only 2 of 3 studs (one fell out when installing the y-pipe), and I can't take it anymore.

Happened to me with my y-pipe too. If the stud came out clean, just find a bolt that is slightly smaller in diameter, drop it through the hole, and tighten it with the appropriate nut.

I don't think you can drop it on from the top..? Its pretty hard to see anything from the top but it seems like the stud would only go back into the manifold from the bottom. It did come out clean though.
