Aftermarket Clutch for a 6 speed maxima

Alright I am looking for opinions. I know there are people that have upgraded from a stock clutch to a aftermarket unit. Any recomndations on brands? I remember some people had problems with certain brands and some people had clutch chatter on take off. Thanks guys

If you are sticking to lower power levels, the stock one should be just fine.. Tilley showed us just how strong the stocker is.

You can do it, but you will have an unsprung clutch, and flywheel.

More shock to the tranny on hard shifts. The stock disk is solid with the stock flywheel being dual mass and absorbing some of the shock. Most aftermarket disks are sprung which absorbs some of the shock.

I can't say if it would cause an issue but it will send more of a direct slam to the tranny.

I would definately avoid running the stock flywheel with a sprung disk because I had a lot of chatter with that setup. Too much moving around in there. The chatter went away when I put the Fidanza in with the same disk.

I know we've been talking but for everyone else. 350Z pressure plate and disk will work on 3.5 Maxima. 350Z flywheel will not work without modification.

The reason to know this is a lot of aftermarket clutch makers don't market a Maxima clutch but do market a 350Z clutch. It bolts in with no modification.
