I think my trannys bad :(

Hey guys, my 03 auto has been doing this since I bought it a few weeks ago. When the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd anywhere in the 2000+ rpm range there is jump in the rpms before the car actaully moves to 3rd gear. Also in the high rpm range the jump does not occur, im talking 5000+ rpms. It does have 92k on it, has a 6 month warrenty so the dealer will hopefully fix it. The car idles extremly smooth and the shifts are very smooth also, even 2nd to 3rd. Should I just have it serviced or is my tranny out the door?

My tranny did exactly same thing at first it was only once a while then more often and then I just had second gear and they had to replace the transmition - thank God it was still on warranty.

Yea its gonna be a hassle to get them to fix it but I cant afford it myself, and I shouldnt have to fix it if its under warrenty.
