5spd swap HELP!!!!

uhh, . . . . . . . THIS IS MY FRIENDS auto 97 > to 5spd
i did the whole swap, and the car wont start, im getting spark, and fuel,
but it sounds like its firing out of order.
i redid this swap for the 2nd time. i redid everything, double checked everything and still no start, just constant cranking.
it sounds like it really wants to start but isnt.

does anyone know why this is happening? how can the timing get messed up from doing the swap?

i have a 97 auto ecu, a 96 ecu and a 95 ecu ( 95 and 96 are both 5spd)
none of them are working. the crank sensors ( 97 and 96) dont solve the problem either. i done know what to do.

if anyone knows what could be messing this up, plz help.
i checked the grounds, the wiring, spark plugs, coils,
the RPM gauge on the dash ISNT moving at all. thats supposed to do with the crank sensor... right? so i got my volt meter and checked it and its in specks.

uhhhgg! well if anyone can help plz do

run a couple grounds from the negative battery terminal to the starter, and another one to the tranny.

should fix your problem.

Was it you that checked about the timing ring on the flywheel?

What CEL are you getting with the 5speed ECU(even auto ecu minus the tranny codes)

Starter bad maybe??? Those things can go at anytime. Does it crank or does it just click, if it clicks then starter is still decent. Check your plugs see if they are greased or oiled over. Did you remember to put fluids in the tranny. clutch engaged, clutch flywheel and tranny all snug together

just some ideas to help out

Did you use an oem flywheel or an aftermarket. If you used an aftermarket you need to take the timing ring (not the starter ring) off the oem flywheel and bolt it on.

Recheck your connections when you bypassed the park neutral switch or what ever it is called. Did you just bypass it or did you wire it up to the sensor on the clutch pedal? Also check your POS crank sensor.
