Thats the tranny breather hose. You can leave it like that with no worries so your good to go.

Wierd you should have a connection like this:

Your's may be a newer design and they've done away with that hookup. It is a breather but not a tranny breather.

PS make sure you hook up the MAF electrical connecter before you start the car. You're going to love the sound!!!!! Under WOT it's a real head turner. You will notice some low end loss but the gains in the upper rev range sure make up for it. Enjoy!

ya, he is talking about the tranny breather hose. I did my intake today as well and it does sure look outta place, but its fine. As long as you have the main hose connected, your all set.

I think he was talking about the tranny breather hose. The black hose that comes up and bends like a candy cane is the tranny breather. It's supposed to be left open. It's open on the stock set up also.

You should only have one hose going from the motor to the intake and it's fatter than the breather hose. It comes from the side of the motor. From your pictures it looks like you got it right.

My apologies vq356sp I didn't realize he was talking about that as his pic for the larger breather tube is cut off before the intake connection.
