help replacing my gold-pkg center caps?

i have a 97 SE with the stock alloys and the "gold package", and the center caps are shot. i didn't want to convert everything to the chrome package, but now a couple of Nissan dealers tell me the gold package was a "dealer option" and no replacement center-caps are available.

any ideas? am i gonna have to get the hamburger replated by a goldsmith?

I guess i could get the chrome front and rear burgers for the grill and hood, put chrome center caps on my alloys, and shave the gold trunk letters, huh?

I totally shaved the emblems off of my trunk and painted my center caps silver. Haven't done anything to the gold grille emblem yet, I will probably replace it with a chrome one.

Mine too had the "gold package" The front emblem I replaced with a metal hamburger from the trunk lock cover of an Altima, you just have to grind off the little tab and the hinge part, easy with a bench grinder. Figured that the real chrome would hold up much better to the plastic coated crap that flakes off. Shaved the rear, as you can see. The door handles and locks I have yet to figure out. painted the trunk lock black, but I'm sure it will flake or get scraped off eventually. The chrome on the door handles is flaking as well, I'll prolly just paint them black. The locks though I'm at a loss for, I don't want two different keys, the dealer's price for a keylock cylinder set is friggen nuts. The wheel caps, if you want to keep them gold, they make gold paint. they weren't ever gold plated were they? just painted? I bet you can just find paint to match pretty close either way. I can't really remember, I took those off the car the first chance I got, even if it was to exchange a set of wheels off an Eclipse(traitor I know lol).
