I had the same problem with my rear right. Since it was no longer useful I as smashing it really hard. Still it was on. I broke my friends hammer
Then I sparayed some brake cleaner and WD40. And gave it a shot with big a** hummer Finally it fell right off

everyone should own a big, heavy, solid rubber mallet for things like this.

the bigger the hammer (or mallet), the better.

wait, wait, wait...most rotors even most aftermarket ones have much smaller holes that are threaded next to the lug/stud holes of the hat part of the rotor...you find a bolt with the same thread pitch and size and you use a rachet to turn the bolt in those holes and they push the rotor off the hub...and voila! it's always funny the 1st time I mention this as most people have no idea what those extra small threaded holes are for--most think it's for the casting of the hats or something...no, they are to take off stuck rotors without a mallet...but fair warning, some rotors don't have these built in...

but I agree, everyone should have a rubber mallet...but b4 go banging on the rotor...try what I mentioned 1st...since that's why they are there...

example:

usually they are a small bolt like 10 or 12mm and 1.25 thread pitch...but they need to be long to push the rotor off the hub...and put one in each hole and do each a little at a time...switching off...

Now that is something else. All I ever seen the guys at the shop use is the ole rubber mallet. Its almost obvious nuff to not even know it, wouldn't have guessed that one. Good info.

Michealnyden is right about those small threaded holes. However, 5.5 gens don't come with them so you're stuck with good old hammering.

However, if you want to make your life easy, remove them like this. It will only take you a couples seconds and a few bucks for bolts & nuts:

I didn't know the 5.5gens didn't come with them...I am sure if you replace them with aftermarket ones by brembo or powerslot, they will have them to make your life easier in the future...!

Well I bought RTP rotors from automax95's gd & only 2 out of the 4 rotors came with these small holes! So what I did was coat the inner hub part of the rotor with anti sieze to prevent it from sticking to the hub.

I'm sure Powerslots would come with them. Unfortunitly, Brembo doesn't yet make rotors for 5.5 gens.

I can't remember if this applies to the Max, but make sure the parking brake is down!

That had me scratching my head for longer than I care to admit on another car.

And the big rubber mallet works good as well.
