3.5 too wimpy
the 3.5 has powered a maxima into the 11's ~ I wouldn't consider that to wimpy.
I think it would be better for you to go all the way and do a rwd conversion too this would yield the best results out of that 5.6.

I looked at the 5.6L yesterday actually and that thing is damn HUGE!!! From the looks of it, there's no way of fitting it in, but i was looking at it around 2am so i might be wrong cause i was tired and it was pretty dark.

Wait. I'm sorry but I don't know if you're serious.. NO it would not fit. Not only would it not fit in our engine bay nor be able to mate up to a transverse transmission, but what was the last car you've driven with a 5+ liter V8 and FWD? Go drive a mid-90s El Dorado. It'd completely ruin the car.

CHEVROLET. The Vette is my favorite car and the only car Chevy/GM can produce "correct". Other than that Chevy/GM would only be stupid enough to drop a V8 in a FWD car.

Spin the wheels! Lots of smoke! Tranny thinks: Oh look, gotta change up!
Tranny does that, wheels stop spinning, car lurches to a halt, tranny: Oh sh! Change down! Spint the wheels, lots of smoke . . . tranny (etc etc, repeat ad infinitum)
Hmm. Putting anything much more than the VQ35 has gotta cause something very similar. I guess the only thing for it will be to change the rear of the car to another FWD setup with another complete VQ30 sitting in the trunk area, giving 6L and FWD with AWD. That'll need two throttle cables, two MAFs, and so on . . (only joking guys, I hoped you could recognise a wind-up when you see one!)
