Lookin for feedback from anybody who's running without any one of the exhaust heat shields.

When I replaced my shifter I left off the shield over the cat and have had no problems. Now I just replaced a parking brake cable and striped three bolts total from the two remaining heat shields so I left them off. I'm just worried (as I was with the shield over the cat at one point) that the heat will damage something. The parking brake cable runs right over the exhaust.

 

Just don't park over dry grass....

 

HUH? Whether or not the heat shields are there doesn't change the fact that the exhaust is hot and parking over dry grass shouldn't be done in any case. Heat rises and I'm worried about the equipment sitting above the exhaust.
