hi,
i recently got a flat tire in my ft. pass side. it took three tries to put on the spares after the jack fall down. (i was on a slight slope) anyway, with my spare tire in the front, i noticed there a "METAL CLUNK" sound when i turned. after getting a new tire, I am still getting the same sound when I doing an EXTREME left turn or u turn. I asked some mechanics about this and they said it is the power steering. but i never heard this before until i got a flat tire.

any ideas or suggestions?

Is this one single clunk when you turn the steering wheel to full left lock? Or is it a series of clunks? If a series, are they rhythmic or random? Please verify that all wheel nuts are tight.

 

It is only when the steering wheel to full left lock. I just went to a desert parking lot and the serie of clunk is random. I also foundout I have align my ft. wheel because the steering wheel is pulling to the right.

Any suggestions/ideas?
