How are they feeling? Better stopping power and all that? How is the pedal travel as compared to before? Should be longer before you get the brakes working right?

It felt better after the re-bleed. To my surprise, there isn't that much pedal travel. It's not as short as it was before, but I'd take the inital bite and braking power anyday. I haven't slammed on the brakes from 80-0 yet, but I've slowed from 100-20 faster than before.

If the Z conversion gives that much more braking power than the stock calipers, I wonder how the Wilwood or AP/Stillen BBK feels like?

Hey thanks for the info. More confidence if I upgrade. I hear the Stillen/Willwoods are very nice. I hear people screaming over the Skyline brake swap also. But damn, these upgrades are expensive! I think the 300z one is the one to get. I hope these will fit under my Rustang wheels(width-wise) It's a shame that we have to shave the rotors though. 3mm short of a true bolt up swap

ps. I was browsing some HOT ROD magazines for brake stuff. Since upgrades for muscle cars have been available for years now, I thought it might be cheaper. But they are not. The price for the Willwoods/BAER etc.. calipers are pricey.

Yeah, no problem. I heard Steve, Cheston, and Lee flat-spotted Vapors SMX with the Stillens.

Someone was selling the calipers, rotors, lines, etc. in the For Sale Forum. It was a very good deal.

that was me! but I think I'm going to snag them for myself. got to find the rims first so those monsters can fit underneath. I'll let you know how they feel. Shawn says the 4 piston up front is amazing. I'll confirm that.

I am going to get that BBK. Sometime in the beginning of August I think I will be the owner of that amazing grill, Stillen BBK and a new set of 18 x 8.5" wheels. What is the correct offset those these monsters don't stick out of the wheelwell all knowing zen master?
