Help? After-market CD doesn't activate antenna

Stereo stuff seems to be the topic of the moment.
I just installed a new JVC head unit, all wires matching and connected to plug-in. Powers up, CD sounds great, but antenna won't go up with the radio on and reception is not-so-good without it.
I know the antenna works fine with the old Bose unit, but that unit is dead.
Any ideas? Wire connects I missed? I always liked that antenna powering out and would hate to do without.
Thanks. Again.

There is a blue maked (I think) AAT that is not connected to anything. Where would that go?
There is a blue marked "antenna" that connected to another blue and made the radio seem to power up but not the antenna.
Think I got some signals crossed here.

There will be 2 remote 12v lines. One can be used to power an external power amp and one can be used to power the antenna. They will both energise when you turn on the radio. The antenna one is usually blue/white(radio side) On the car side the gray/yellow wire goes to the power antenna timer circuit to control the antenna. Hope this helps.

if you're using the stock BOSE amps and speakers, then you need to have the 1 antenna output from the stereo go to 2 wires. 1 that triggers the antenna, and 1 that triggers the amps.

Run a direct 16gua. wire from the signal wire on the CD player to the switched wire on the power antenna. You'll need a voltometer to test for the signal wire, and a friend to turn the ignition on and off to create voltage.

Enjoy.

You have to match the new HU wiring with the wiring in the car. Make sure you have 12v going to HU 12v If your stock connector is still there buy yourself an adapter for the stock connector it will have everything labeled.

What doesnt turn on?:
1)The headunits itself?
2)The speakers?
3)The antenna doesn't rise?
