RSB installation question...

I just received my Progress RSB today (yay!) and read the instructions. It says to jack up the rear end to install. I was told to use ramps as per this tutorial --> http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=12
I unfortunately don't have ramps anymore, so what are the negatives of jacking it up to install?

I did the exact same thing your doing like a month ago, got the progress RSB from the group deal, even used the same link for the install, I installed it with jacks and I don't see or feel anything wrong. I spoke to a couple of local people here to and they all told me it doesn't matter... so I guess it's up to you.

I installed my Progress bar using jackstands, it will be ok all I feel is a dramatic difference in handling. It feels awesome!

Thanks for the info guys. Did you use the grease/lube that was supplied with your Progress bar? Was it enough, or did you have to buy more?

Yes put it on the black bushings(INSIDE THE HOLE ONLY) so they can slide right onto the bar and I guess it will reduce noise in the future....

Yes, make sure you grease up the bushings very well to protect them and prevent creaking.

Done! Got the RSB on the car, but with some slight issues.
1. I found that the small pack of grease wasn't enough to properly lube up the bushings.
2. Prying off the ABS snesor bracket from the wire was pretty time consuming. Those clips did not want to move.
3. The instructions said that there should be 1" of space between the end of the bar to the closest bushing. I couldn't get close to 1" because of the e-brake bracket in the way. How did you guys get over that?
Anyhow, it's on there. I guess I'll test it out further tomorrow. Looks good though. Thanks for all your help.

Good questions about the 1". I installed mine just like yours and I read the same thing. I was like at 1/2" inch, thats when I remembered the 2 white ties they put in the box with the RSB. so I went back to adjust it the next day. don't screw the e-brake bracket back on, just slide the clamps over the hole or enough where you have the 1" then you use the ties to hold the line over the clamps and the frame.... but I think it doesn't matter.. Looks good...
Good luck
