oil on spark plug??

So i decide to FINALLY do a tune up after two months of procrastination...

i pull out the spark plug on the back right side and out comes the oil... It is firing because i am now officially burning oil, i am not over heating , i can't tell of any lack of power or anything like that so i figure its the little seal for the spark plugs?

what is the name of that frikkin part?? i figure i can get some liquid gasket for the other gaskets and just buy those three spark plug gasket things and be set.

Thanks

OK, back to the thread.

It's also referred to as a grommet, and comes as part of the valve cover seal kit, I think. But you've got a lot of work to get to it. I just discovered the same problem, and I'm figuring I'll have to replace it. I'd be interested in hearing how the job goes if you do it.

I'll pm you when i do it, i think what i am going to do is just replace the three grommets and use liquid gasket for everything else. Lol you can see how much i am enjoying the car CUT CORNERS!!

but i will try to do a little write up for you if i remember. It seems like it is just going to be a hassle, remove intake manifold and that good stuff yah know? might as well replace the fuel filter while im down there.

yeah he's got a point there...honda makes great weed eaters. If I had a dollar for the number of hondas we have to tow into our shop, i'd make donald trump look like a grocery bagger (no offence to you grocery baggers out there)

lmao , as long as the baggers aren't offended..

I have owned 4 honduhz in my time, not one has left me because it broke.

the most serious repair was on a 1987 honda civic carborated, 255 k miles.. Had to change the head gasket.

but i guess its just luck of the drawl... So now my opinion is nissans are lower quality than honda.

very well said .... poeple think american cars suck... but i know guys with oldschool GTO, Mustangs, Cobras with the original motors in em... and they still run fine.. a little loud for my taste but cars run on how well u keep em.. and shure u get occasional defective parts but overal the blocks stay strong as long as there taken care off..

and now since the original question to this thread was ans-ed

ohh so you have owned multiple hondas and only one maxima. hmm sounds kinda pre-biased to me. Either way, just because one nissan had a problem doesn't make their quality bad. Hell i've seen at least seven nissan hard body trucks with 700k+ miles on them that are still running like new. If you can find me one honda with that many miles on it and no major repairs, I'll be amazed. Oh gotta get back to work, an accord is being towed in as I speak, and no, im not kidding
