What tires are good for this car? My factory tires are bald and I am buying new ones soon.

The specs are 215/55R16 I believe, and I am leaning toward either the Michelin Pilot XGTH4 for about $100/ea. or the Dunlop D60A2 at about $75/ea. Any other suggestions? I like a quiet ride but also want good wet weather traction with reasonable performance too. Also considering the Pirelli P6000 SPORT VELOCE (if I'm correct about the sizing). I do not plan on buying new rims. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I live in TX (hot weather) by the way.

I've got the XGT's...

I'm happy with them. They're MUCH better than the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A's that came stock! I don't really see a point in putting Z rated tires on, since I don't race my Max.

I had Bridgestone RE930's on my stockers and they were great. I think the newest equivalent for the SE tire size is the new Bridgestone RE950. That would prolly be a better choice than either the Dunlop or Michelin.

I have Bridgestone Potenza's, but mine are 225/50/16.

I have the D60A2s, they are ok, 2 things: the sidewalls seem to have a lot of Flex, and they were a ***** to balance.(But they were cheap) I'm going for the Pilots next.

I have the same car. The Kuhmo Ecsta 712 in 215/55/16 were only $75 each at Tire Rack. They have an agressive tread pattern, are z rated, and have low noise. Many others on this list have them and I have yet to hear any negative feedback. Go to www.tirerack.com
