My First Dyno Day :wtc:

To start off im a dyno n00b.

Alright i just got back from my first dyno day and well things didn't go the way i wanted. We did pulls from 2nd 3rd and 4th gears trying to get the best results jcy98maxse did the dynoing i guess and he should be here to chim in soon.

I paid 25 bucks for all 3 runs, I don't have run files or af ratio (well there is one listed but its at 16 and from what i remember justin (jcy98maxse) had a 16 af to so i don't think its correct) it was done on a dynomite dyno.

2nd gear (best one) I put down 223.8whp and 197.5wtq. To say the least i wasn't happy with this one. We did the 2nd gear pull last

3rd gear which we did first i put down 214whp and 190ish wtq

4th gear was like 218whp and 190ish wtq.

I would be happy with these numbers at my elevation but a stock 03 6spd AT this dyno put down 212whp. So me being disappointed is an understatement. Looking at the graph there is no indication of something wrong with the motor. (ie spiking or anything like that) But not knowing what my af is i could be wrong. Like I said before being disappointed is an understatement. My mods are Injen intake, Hotshot headers, test pipe, cattman catback and 17* timing advance. I was hoping to be in the mid 230's. im taking it to COBB tuning to run on there dynojet to see if it improves any.

if you want i can scan or take a picture of it and post it up.

Sorry if any of this doesn't make sense, im really frustrated right now. Any help is appricated.

Cliffs: Stock 03 6spd put down 212 whp on same dyno that i put down 223.8 with i/h/e/17* timing advance.

wait..who put down 212whp? that seems kind of high...majority i see is 200-210whp...your #s are definitely off though...but then again, what kind of dyno is this dynomite!?! jcy said its supposedly a mustang...and mustang = lower than usual....so don't trip too much...AFR needs to be figured out...and you said there are no spikes or dips on the power curve...so thats a good indication at least...since puppetmaster had a major problem with his

you should be putting out 230s on a dynojet...so lets see if it gets any better at cobb tuning...

post up after the dynojet but my guess would be that its running as rich as bill gates. like NmexMAX said, bring a floppy to the dynojet and get the runfiles so you change the correction to SAE.

Im with steven on this one, most 02s are in the 200-205 range. that sucks on your #'s, my 02 with a y and short ram did 218whp/228TQ. need to figure out why some guys are putting in headers and losing insane amounts of tq!

Probably because they need to tune the a/f ratio.

Ben, I ran a 213.8hp and 209 tq on there dyno having a berk intake, and a bit of IM work done. BTW, I have a 6 speed. I think there dyno is off. Make sure you make it to the utahnissans meet at there shop, We will run back to back to see what the difference is since we now have similar upgrades.
