How to clean out hvac air ducts inside the cabin

How to clean out hvac air ducts inside the cabin

Is there a air filter for the air ducts in the cabin? how can i clean out the dust and like stuff that flyies out when u turn the air on? im just wondering

tear apart the dash and go after it with a shop vac.
no way was found to install a cabin air filter

you probably can't eliminate it, but you can reduce it by taking a shopvac to the air ducts on top below the windshield and also the ones in the cabin.

Just park your car in a garage with a car cover on it and you will be set!

every once in a while close all of your vents but one of them, and it should blow almost all of the dust out... then repeat with the rest of them...... they should be clean for a week or two then...

To clean mine i blew them out with an air gun then turned the ac on, i put towels over the ducts so as not to have a messy car.

If you remove the glove box, there is an oval metal plate on the front of the air conditioning box. This is the resistor for the blower speeds. Remove this plate (be kind to the resistor coils inside) and you can get at the air conditioning coils. I used one of those long, small lights on a stick to see inside and used the small computer attachments from my shopvac with a plastic tube attached and was able to vacuum out the coil area to some degree.
