Power windows failure. Sound Familiar?

Hey Folks, My front drivers side power window just craped out on me. and less than 1 month later my rear drivers side window did the same. The motors still run and the windows can do down a bit, but won't go up unless I manualy assist. (I need to get it fixed soon... It really sucks when im driving and my windows suddenly start inching downwards.) seems like the motor cant provide enough torque or the regulator cable is broke. I don't know. I'm just speculating. Never had a problem like this before. I thought about buying the regulators from ebay. But I first wanted to know if anyone has experienced this issue before. Any suggestions?

Yes, on my 88 Accord. It was my window regulator!

i bet it is the regulator. had similar problem on my rear passenger window. there is a little pulley in which a metal cord is wrapped around. the pulley is what the motor is attached to. i took off the door panel and looked at the pulley as i lowered and raised the window. what had happened is the cord had jumped its track on the pulley. the little 'roof' of the track had broken and allowed the cord to jumped. it had entangled itself onto well itself. you get the point. anyway get in there and check it out.....don't using the window like i did, trying to fix the problem. i burned out my window switch, from messing with it too much. none on ebay at the time, so i ended up paying $80 for a new switch. also i would think a regulator from ebay would be ok. its not like an intricate part or anything.
