Yup, maybe a hub too. Depending on how long the bearing has been bad. Bad bearings have taken the hub out every time on my car.

I've been wondering this forever! How do you know when you need to change your wheel bearing?

I would get OEM Bearings only. The price difference isnt enough to justifiy Duralast Quality parts.

you need a press to do the work all on your own. I had to bring my knuckles to the garage to press out the outer bearing race....apart from that...there shouldn't be anything hard about it...get the seals though...i didn't put them back on my car, but i'm selling it so i don't care(95)

No you dont. I watched my mechanic use various sockets and such to just hammer the old one out and hammer the new one in. The he used an impact and the axle nut to press the hub in. Took 45 minutes and did everything on the car. The work was done about half a year ago and no problems.

bearings average around 40$ give or take a few, usually not cheaper than 40$ tho.

140$ or so for the hub, might be less, alot of places sell them for alot more than that tho.

replaced mine about 6 months ago, everything went fine, putting everything back together when i find out my lower ball joint busted and just spins, all of this the day that im supposed to drive 400 miles to a friends... needless to say i didn't take that car, lol, i persoanlly recommend going with the autozone ones i picked mine up for 40 bucks and payed 20 to have it pressed, not a hard job, best of luck

To check for bearin issues, raise the car so wheel is hanging. put your hands at the 12 & 6 positions. rock back and forth. If it moves ***** BAD BEARINGS*** Tell tale signs - vibes when turning, droning sound when driving, if you can hear over your exhaust. Really, if you have your tires rototated, ask the tech to check your beaings. No charge!!
