Black Nissan Burger Logo

I just got my Black MAXIMA logo from the dealer, for 01 SE.

It looks great on the black paint, either the previous owner debadged the trunk or it came like that from the factory.

Now I need to replace the crome nisssan burger logo in black. Has anyone every seen this? or should I pull it off and paint it?

these are the ones that come on the 00-01 SE, its smoked. it looks pretty good.

ryant, ive asked the same question a while ago. no one had ever found one at that time. most people paint them if they do it, but it loses the glossy black-chrome look that the emblems have.

Will do.

One more thing, the logo sits on a plastic base, unlike 4th gen that sits directly on the paint. Is the logo stuck to the plastic base with double stick tape? Can I pull it off with out messing with the base & my paint?

Do the "MAXIMA" and "SE" (or GLE) badges also have pegs in the 5th gen? Or can you just peel, buff, and wax?

2k2 logo with Testors Boyd's Smoke Gray Pearl paint:

MaxKlinger, there are no holes under the lettering so they can be removed and the paint polished.

I just went to the dealer and bought a black MAXIMA logo for a 2001 SE...$18, and it looks better than painting it.

I think I'll paint my nissan burger tonight.

Very helpful. I may do this. Just clean, prime and paint? BTW I'm just trying to get my post count up so I can ask about K&N drop in air cleaners. I can't do a search either. Any help would be appreciated.

In the interim I may do this little mod to my 2002.

Thats what I did, cleaned with an alcolhol wipe, primed & painted.

What do you want to know about the K&N? I've got a drop in filter.

Cool, great tip. That's 4 out of 15. Does the drop in filter make any difference in the performance of the car? How often do you clean it?

BTW my Maxima is a black 02 SE with the 6 speed manual.

It sounds a little better, not much. I clean it when it looks dirty, once in the past year.
