quick question here...

can using cruise control for a very long time wear out any parts? i ask because every night i goto work i set the cruise control to 55 mph for about 10-15 minutes straight, been doing this for about 5 or more months. passed state and emission inspection this month but had to get both front axles replaced becuase they said it was bad. i'm not really sure what caused both front axles to go bad, but both axles were replaced for about $700.

HOLY CRAP... dude, they raped you for that price. You can find axles for $52 ea. And even with 4 hours labor at $75 a hour, it doesn't come out that bad.

And no, using cruise control doesn't really wear out anything additional besides the cruise control vacuum module. Everything else is the same since the engine is running, your driving... etc.
