Repost : heater/ac lights are dim at night-time

i remember seeing this post about once a month, just never cared to read about it untill now that it concerns me.
now is there a light bulb inside to change or do i have to replace the whole unit?

Hey Lorenzo, you ever gonna sell your Cuttout? (Also, there are bulbs in there, you do not have to change the whole unit. But the bulbs are a PIA to change.)

actually, I busted my cutout last year. never cared to replace it but i do miss my top end. since my car is lowered, i bottomed out and thats how i busted it.

very true....fix that! Anyways....I just changed out all the lights in the AC unit and it's kind of a PITA to do it, you have to remove a whole bunch of panels to get the AC unit out. Once you do that though...it's cake. There's two in there, so I'm guessing one of them went out. All you have to do is lift up a little hinged piece of plastic on the top and twist the lights out. Not hard at all....like I said it's getting to that point thats difficult.

i think i have the same problem. then i just tap the screen and everythings fine again

that used to work for awhile; now that tecnique doesn't work anymore.
