Rear Toe

Would it be bad to run my car with 1/3 degree toe in the rear. The guy who did the alignment said that there is a little toe out in the rear and he can't correct it.

If you're an autocrosser, then that's just fine.
the only way to correct for toe in the back is to bend the rear beam.

Well I'm not exactly an autocrosser. I just drive my car like I am. Would this drastically effect my tire wear. I'm getting 18's put on soon and don't want to have to spend tons of $ on tires every couple of months. I don't drive too much during the year but tires are really expensive

I can't say exactly how much is too much, but the specs for a 3 gen are 0 - 0.25* toe in. (I don't have FSM for 4th gen on this computer)

0.33* toe out will cause the back end to rotate a bit easier around corners, but shouldn't cause it to be unstable. you will see a bit more tire wear, but I wouldn't say you'll have major problems with it. If it were me, I'd just drive. it's cheaper to drive on it and replace tires a little bit sooner than to pay to have the beam bent to fix it.

My Mazda 626 lists 0°17' +/- 0°23' total rear toe, meaning that 0.1° toe-OUT is still OE spec. That's on a strut IRS, BTW, which means that the total toe can vary from that value over the range of suspension position.

At least any given toe-out on a beam axle will remain more consistent (read: more predictable even if you aren't autocrossing). But since toe-out "loosens" the handling, I'd be a bit more cautious/conservative about adding a RSB or stiffer rear springs without also stiffening the front up a bit more still.

Well I'm on Ksports. I have a RSB and FSTB. I took the car for a test yesterday and it handled very well. The only thing is when the tires broke loose it sounded very loud. Almost like they were screaming to stick. Overall I'm happy with the way the suspension turned out. Thanks for your help. I'll just leave the toe as it is.
