So some idiot slid my car sideways into a cement barrier... No comments from the peanut gallery.

Anyway, I bent my rear beam which I replaced a few days ago, so that end is good. The problem comes when I move to the front end. The camber on my right front wheel is WAY off. The shop I brought my car to for allignment said that my lower control arm was bent. I found it plausable, so I replaced that as well.

Unfortunitely, the new control arm did not fix my camber issues, aka not bent. I know it would be very hard to eyeball, but I dont think the frame is bent. I bet the control arm would be pretty mangled to do that.

So my question is, does anyone think a bent strut is a good place to start looking? Anywhere else I'm not thinking of?

Could be a bent strut, or a bent component on the spindle assembly. The best bet when there is a hard impact like that is to replace EVERYTHING on that said (LCA, spindle, bearing, strut)....Because even if you can't SEE it, there could be internal cracks on cast components like the spindle...you DON'T want that to fail.

BTW, I had a similar encounter with a big 6x6 wood post at 65mph+ that bent my Illumina strut, ruined the wheel bearing, and bent the spindle slightly.

I replaced everything on that side of the suspension. Better safe than sorry.

 

Same here. Strut, LCA, wheel bearing, also might have tweaked the frame a little cause once I put my H&R's on the strut mount was harder to take out then the other side but it could be a bad strut mount too. I'll find out later with coilovers.
