Routing wires through dash clock.

Is routing wires through the dash clock feasible? I want to hardwire my Sirius Sportster 4 radio and I think it would be cleanest if I routed it through the back of the clock. I'd like to know before I pry open my clock and potentially break something.

Thanks.

To answer your question...yes. If you take out the clock, you will see open space between there and the upper A/C vents.

I am thinking of doing that as well.

Where exactly do you plan on going for power & ground?

Thanks...

The Sportster 4 needs a 5V input, and it gets this via the included cigarette lighter adapter. I don't know of any 5V sources readily available so what I did was I bought a female cigarette adapater plug from Radio Shack and tapped the leads behind the 12V accessory plug next to the ashtray. Then I just plugged the Sirius cigarette adapter into the female Radio Shack one and wrapped it all up with electrical tape. Works really well...

Thanks for your reply MIXXMAX.

Sounds like a great idea... Thanks...

Just locate the adapter where you have access in the event the fuse blows...
