For those of you that did the bi-xenon retrofit, how did you guys close up the gap between the projector and the housing?

I have the E46 Bi-Xenon Projectors installed. They have the solenoid that sticks out a bit on the bottom.

I want to close it up in a way there it won't mess up the solenoid.

Pictures would be a great help!!

I used some HVAC aluminum tape. It comes in a big roll. I picked it up at Lowe's.

uhh u need to do a lot bette job than that buddy... get the aluminum tape then in small strips tape the entire back... make at least 3 layers then get some clear silicone from autozone and apply that over all the tape... i did my tls this way i have absolutely no fogging...

 

Aluminum tape can do wonders, but if you're depending on it for weatherproofing as well it won't cut it by itself. Although I did get away with just doing several layers of it on the back of my foglight retrofit, but I wouldn't reccomend it without silicone or something as stated above.

That was my first layer homeboy...I have 3 layers of tape w/ clear silicone around the mounting holes. I shoulda said that. Oops.

 

^^^ very nice.... the tape is like 5 bucks a roll its real cheap....

 

It won't crack, but in this case I would forego it. What if you ever wanted to take them out or adjust them?
