Which would you chose

Out of these 3 H/Us which would you go for? The prices for all 3 are relatively the same but definitely want something more modern and would sound well in a SQ environment.

Alpine CDA9856
Eclipse CD3000
Pioneer DEHP680MP

Rule out the Alpine. Between the Eclipse and Premier, the Premier will have a better EQ (7 band versus 3) and hpf/lpf built into the deck, but even taking those into account, the Eclipse will sound better and has a bit higher voltage preouts. Not to mention, I CANT STAND that rotary **** Pioneer has in that model, and cant tell you how many have come back to CC broken. My vote goes to Eclipse.

Not in his options, if it was he might as well look at the CD5000 or CD7000.

Too confusing? For you maybe? I mean anyone who WANTS to not be confused can easily learn it all.

for sq
1.eclipse
2.alpine
3.see above

i've also had pioneer, pioneer premier, sony, kenwood excelon, jvc, panasonic. sony wasn't bad panasonic was decent too. but the kenwood and pioneer just sounded like crap no matter how much i fooled with the settings so i went back to alpine, haven't heard or bought anything in 4 years so quality could be completely different now with the other brands but i doubt it as they didn't change much but make em more flashy over the years

Now looking at the CD5000. Because I will be going a different route with my video preferences in the car right now I'm looking at what type of H/U will be best for my SQ setup. I am open to suggestions about H/Us other than those listed or mentioned. Don chime in.

If you can, try to find a shop/store that sells those models and listen to them yourself. There is no substitute for trying something yourself, since everyone has different tastes and tolerances. Long term reliability is good to get advice on though. =)
