3.5 swap problems, hesitation + codes

So at first I had problems with the car jumping in first gear due to the throttle cable bracket being mounted on the firewall, this has since been fixed, it is now mounted on the engine.

The problem now occurs between 1500 - 2800rpm, the car will lose all power, just hesitate then get power back and jump forward.. a scan came up with codes for the IAC, MAF and MAP... any ideas?

it's one of 2 things. Fuel pressure, or crank position sensor. Make sure it's clean, and free of any metal particles. Fuel pressure should be around 51-52psi all the time.

just read the post again. Change the MAF. Now.

I'll check on that tomorrow then. I thought it was the fuel pressure, but the mechanic seemed to disagree.. in using the 3.5 fuel rail and injectors, he didn't use an fpr, instead he hacked some piece from the 3.0 fuel rail and used that to convert the system to returnless.. so I've been sceptical of that part since the begining, lol.

tell your mechanic to stop being lazy and use an fpr with a readout.
