hey guys. is there any way that I can still use the factory window modules with the 791?

 

i figured i would just post this question in here instead of starting a new thread becuase is related. With the 791 you get 6 channels. What are you guys using your extra channels for?

 

A 791xv on its own has nothing to do with window modules at all. 530T is DEi's window module, and yes, you can still use the factory window switches as well as the remote.

It does have 6 channels...two of which are lock and unlock. A third channel will be used for trunk pop. Assuming you are adding 530T's, a fourth channel, as well as ground when armed, will be used for windows. So you have two channels left to play with, which can be used for anything you want.

 

ahh. I see. So i need the 530T to use the windows. I thought it already had the module from the factory, or so my buddy informed me.

Also can you point me in the direction of the BCM and the NSS?

 

Wait. Do you have factory window roll up/down from the factory remote? If so, yes you can integrate that with the 791 without anything extra. If not then youll need 530T's. I always forget which 4th gens had em, and assumed yours didnt since 5.0 gens like mine didnt.

 

The 4th gens had it, but would only do down. The wires are at the BCM.
