How-To Q: Evaporation Pressure Sensor
How-To Q: Evaporation Pressure Sensor
My car threw a code and I can't pass VA emissions until I replace the "Evaporation Pressure Sensor" (EPS). Also, I need to replace my rear O2 sensor. I just bought an NTK online, but I have yet to buy the EPS.
Is the EPS replacement a do-it-yourselfer? I ran a search on the forum and sifted through the stickies, but didn't find any instructions. So -- anyone have any suggestions? Any special tools I'll need? (I've done a few things by myself on my car -- breaks, oil change, knock sensor replacement, sparkplugs, left front control arm, I pump my own gas, etc. If this is too technical for my skill level, be blunt about it.) I have no idea if the emissions control system just sounds fancy but is a realy piece of cake to work on, or if it really is as scary as it sounds. Also, the mechanic told me that the code could mean any one of three parts (solenoids?) needs replacing; it's a crapshoot. Ugh. Is he feeding me a line?
Thanks, yo.
