Corporate Lease

So I found this new Minivan for wifey. It's an 04 Sienna. When I check out the carfax it says it was in a Corporate Lease.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I mean I think if I had a company car I would take care of it, but would I maintain it... I fear that it was giving no love. Am I mistaken? Anyone have any experience with this?

I dunno, when I drive government minivans to conferences I baby the hell out of them....the last thing you want to do is trash a vehicle that belongs to your company...not a good career move!

I work for a very big truck leasing company, when you reach a certain rung on the ladder you earn a company vehicle. The higher the rung, the better the vehicle, SR VP have no limits ( my boss drives a Porche Cayenne Turbo ). Anyways, the company pays for everything: gas, maintenance, registration, insurance... and you are required to keep the vehicle in good shape and maintenance up to date.

I say go for it, but never buy a rental car.

I know how I treat rentals. I would never buy one. But that is what I figured RLW001. Maintenance is what worries me, but I see where it should be at the top of the leasee's mind. It only has 28k so it should be fine. Drives and feels like a dream. (for a minivan that is)...

its a toyota van, its meant to not be really looked after. My mom has an 01 and it has been pretty good. her rear drum brake seals are going out now at 110k and she had an AC line go out at 90k or so. Dont worry. The sienna is a champ.

My lady has a corporate lease minivan...

She takes crap care if it, changes the oil every 8-10k miles (City driving too, and it is not syn oil). Everyone just has a "it's not MY car" attitude towads them. Bumps, dents, maint... Who cares.

My friend purchased one in HS, it was always broken; mainly tranny problems due to lack of maint.

Well, there you go... One negative is all I need to take me away. I will be passing on this. I don't want to take gambles.

Thanks Guys... Will more than likely just buy new as soon as the 07's come out. Maybe get some great rebates on the 06. The great thing is that the 2000 I have is still purring at 160k. I wonder what kind of trade in I would get on a vehicle with 160k?

I work at ford head office and I get company cars. Trust me do NOT buy that vehicle people beat the S^&t out of em, they ar etreated like rentals. Employees dont' care about the internal part of a car they only care about not smacking it up or scratching it. So they kill em by driving them so hard
I've got some company cars that look great but run sooo bad, employees NEVER do regular maintanance as the car is not theres, I had a company car for a year and never did 1 oil change.
I would never touch a corporate lease car or a previous rental or fleet vehicle
