Seek out DaveB "The Man".

The difference between can and can't; is which one you believe.

I get my Mobil 1's at autozone, sometimes checker has them.

Built by Champion, but still one of the best filters out there... as far as Im concerned.

Another choice is CourtesyParts.com. It's $50 bucks for the 10 pack of filters straight from Nissan.

i remember reading a thread confirming that the filter linked in the original post had been changed to cardboard. i thought it was in the oil/fluid section here and someone opened up a new one to find it had been changed. i shortly changed to napa gold filters made by wix.

I get mine from the dealer. But now if they are cardboard, I might change to something else.

hmm .. well the store link i posted sold 2 types of oil filters. I looked at the sticky in the fluids forum and confirmed that one of those filters offered by the store was "cheap cardboard" and the other one available was the one recommended.

Unless that post is old and outdated ...

can someone confirm this?

I'm talking about oil filter part #: 15208-9E000 - is this now cardboard too??

I used to get 9E000s from the dealership for 5.45 + tax, but have recently been using Pure Ones from Advance Auto for about the same price.
