i'm going to change my fog bulbs. (H3 right?)
from what i hear, the process is not technically difficult, just a pain in the a$$ without a lift. so i'm not keen on having to do this twice.
i just wanna confirm the bulb type as H3 cuz different sites/books have different descriptions.
when i go to buy these, what physical characteristics am i looking for? just in case i get a nimrod salesman.

Yep. H3 for the fogs. they are small bulbs with a wire coming from under them. looks like a snake? :P it is a pain in the a$$ to take out the fogs. i tried like 3 times already i gave up. maybe i'll try again tomorrow. i am going to buy PIAA H3 Xtreme White bulbs.. there 55w that make 110w or something like that. just dont buy something that use's more than 55w.

i agree.. i took me a while to open up the cover and pull out the clip before i could pull the blub out. and u have to be careful while positioning the bulb back in.

you don't need a lift....you just need to be able to lie down and get underneath the splash guard.

I did it without lifting the car...took me about 1 hour or so including messing around with the lights. the right side is harder than the left since the left has more space.

The Xtreme Whites have a slight (very slight) blue tint to it. You can't tell the difference between the two unless you install them side by side.

it's a pain but you'll get better at it the more you change your bulbs..
you don't need a lift unless your car has body-kit and slammed to the ground....you can just crawl underneath your car when you change your fogs.

i agree its a ***** to get to the bulbs. all u have to do is pop out the assembly (don't even have to undo the wire harness but may have to release one of the clips holding the wires to the car). like everything, u don't want to hit your baby to hard, afraid u may break it. i gave it a couple of taps and just worked on pushing it out with both hands. it was hard but eventually they popped out.

i agree with maxi-overdose - i have the piaa ion bulb too. its yellow on the ground and up close but move further back u see a tinge of green and other colors too. i think its the reflection in the housing. i've used it in another assembly and did not have that problem. it was bright yellow.

but it still looks nice.

i have the piaa xtreme whites for my headlights and fogs...

during the day, they have a yellowish tint...

at night, their white, but i dont see a blue tint =\

if i put my car next to a car w/ bluish lights, my lights look yellowish. =\

but their bright, and work pretty well at night/rain
