coincidental "Max" accessory@Walmart
cruising thru the Walmart the other day I noticed seatbelt shoulder pads that had "MAX POWER" printed on them. I thought that was sort of coincidental..
Of COURSE the urge was there to buy them..but on close inspection the quality was only so so
anyone else spotted/bought these?

MAX POWER...man that is tacky. It is good you did not buy them. It's almost as bad as those "powered by Nissan" seat belt covers. It's a Maxima...what else kind of engine would power it?? I know I know...it must be a Chevy engine.

One thing worse than that, "powered by Acura". Not even Acuras are powered by Acura.

Well I think the decorative engine cover on Acuras have the "A" on it, so technically it is an Acura engine. It might be Honda designed, but its only sold as Acura. Same goes for Lexus. While the engine in the ES300 and Toyota Avalon may be identical, it isn't wrong to say "powered by Lexus" since the engine is sold as a Lexus engine.
It's like if you have a Trinitron monitor that is not sold by Sony (i.e. Viewsonic PF790 like mine). Technically it is still a Sony tube, but it is not wrong to say that it is a Viewsonic.
I saw something even worse than that. I once saw a 4th gen Civic hatch with a "Powered by Acura" banner. He had a ZC engine from an old Integra, so he thought that he was powered by an Acura engine. The engine even had Honda stamped on it and he thought he was powered by Acura.

I just think its cool that you can cruise (drive your car) thru wal mart. Now that is very cool as for the seatbelt covers if they are at walmart right next to the high flow exhuast tip that adds 10hp dont get them. I mean you know how many people shop at walmart. I in no way want my car associated with that place.
