power lock actuator pinout
power lock actuator pinout
I have been having problems with my passenger side front door lock. It goes up, but not down. anyway I took out the actuator and would like to know if any one knows the pin out. there is a four pronged connector that plugs in the bottom. also red, black and blue wires that come out the side<------what are they for? I can hook it up to a 12v power source, but what should cause the actuator to go up and down. I'm pretty sure that the prongs on the bottom are all I need to make it go up and down. dont I need like a negative 12v pulse to make it go up and down? How should I test it?

If its setup like i think it is, it would use one polarity to go up and another to go down. But that is a guess.
fixed. the actuator had a break in the internal circuit board. resodered the board, and grinded I alittle of the gear the causes the lock to go up and down off in order to clear the soder. and now it goes up and down. positive 12 goes up negative 12 goes down

Did you happen to take any pics?

the gear runs back and forth over the circuit board. where the needle is pointing is where the circuit was broken. the gear that goes back and forth has contacts on it so that when it is down and you press down on the lock button the motor will not go, so it doesnt burn up. and the same for when it is up and you press up.
pictures are out of focus, sorry
