Car stalling now, after some repairs,

Update 11-01-06
Thanks Guys,
Today I removed intake, retighten TB & found a vaccume tube broken, I replaced that and Now car is starting, but stalls Immediatly, if I keep giving gas it will keep running, but if I stops giving gas it stalls.
Can TPS cause this? Please tell me what should I look next,

10-31-06
Over last 4 days I did some minor repairs and now car is not starting, The key is crancking, I hear some rattling noise and then a noise like some air pressure is released and then dead. car does not start, any idea how can I rectify this.

I did following before car stopped
0) removed intake, sprayed QD electric cleaner on MAF housing.
1) Remove throttle body (cut coolant line & replace it)
2) Replace TPS, I just removed old TPS & put in new one, no other adjustments
3) Replace throttle body gasket.
4) thoroughly cleaned up throttle body.
5) took out battery cable, tried to remove starter, but it didn't come out so I unscew two bolts r back, sprayed some brake cleaner and after 3-4 minutes sprayed lot of lithium grese. put back the bolts.
Please help

well u could have killed ur MAF but it would usually still start just not accel past 2k cause u should use MAF cleaner to clean the MAF.......your TPS might need to be adjusted but again the car should still start......so check all ur connections even battery voltage i might have drained it

Check out a manual for adjusting the tps. I recall something about measuring the resistance at the tps with accelerator at normal closed position and then as you open the throttle.

I have had this exact problem. I believe the MAF shook loose from the intake and possibly got disconnected in my car. I also happened to have a dead battery due to other circumstances. After a few days I replaced the battery and plugged in the MAF. Either all the problems were related or my MAF went temporarily dead for some reason. I think the problems are traceable directly to your MAF based on what you are describing, which is EXACTLY the problem I had.

One last thing. The other starting problem you described sounds like your starter tried to engage but did not have enough juice. Happens to me all the time when I disconnect my battery and later fail to tighten the terminal posts enough. Try tightening them up onto the battery.

Do you have a CEL?
